Meet our new Systems Trainer, Sam Middleton

From his passion for cooking to the day-to-day responsibilities of his new role, we sat down with our new Systems Trainer, Sam Middleton, to find out about how his journey at Loop is going so far.

Hi Sam, could you please tell us about your job as Systems Trainer?

My job is to deliver onboarding and training to new and existing clients onto our social value tool. This includes designing training programs, creating instructional materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support to ensure that clients get the most out of the software.

Great! What were your initial thoughts of Loop?

The people here have fostered a culture of innovation and social consciousness. It’s refreshing to see a company that invests so much in their people, this is an exciting chance to make a meaningful social impact, contribute to innovative solutions, and further my professional growth within a vibrant and dynamic industry.

What did you do before joining the company? Any skills that you think will benefit you in your new role?

Before joining Loop, I was working as a senior sales manager at a call centre. I spent a lot of my time learning new systems and training staff. I also think the communication and problem-solving skills I learnt during my time in various sales roles are all going to help massively when dealing with clients from different sectors and backgrounds.

How about when you’re not at work, what do you get up to?

I’m a surprisingly good cook, it’s often said I’m like a young Gordon Ramsey with more flair. I enjoy travelling and I’m always looking for a good, secluded vacation. I also enjoy going to local MMA and boxing events whenever I get the chance.

What part of your role are you looking forward to the most?

The opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation and to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions. Social value and Loop grabbed my interest as soon as I found out about them, the chance to work and learn within a new industry and new sector is really exciting.

Finally, what do you wish to achieve with your new role?

In my new role, I aspire to use my expertise to drive social value through the development of software solutions. My aim is to show the power of Loop and the National SVS to businesses and how it can help in making a tangible, positive impact on communities and individuals.
