We are delighted to announce that we will return to UKREiiF 2023 following the success of the inaugural event earlier this year, where we ran the Social Value Pavilion.
This year saw us showcasing our freshly updated software, as well as working with Social Value UK to capture data from attendees and educate our guests on the importance and power of social value measurement in business operations.
For 2023, our parent organisation – Pagabo Group – will be returning as the sponsor of a Pavilion for UKREiiF, which will take place in Leeds on 16 to 18 May 2023. The conference is designed to connect people, places and businesses to accelerate the Levelling Up Agenda, while unlocking sustainable, inclusive and transformational investment across the UK.
Gerard Toplass, group chief executive of Pagabo Group, said: “Our involvement in the first UKREiiF conference this year was a fantastic success, and the pavilion was extremely busy throughout the three days, showing how interested the attendees are in social value generation and measurement.”
“Social value is a hot topic within the industry at the moment, with several of the mission statements outlined by the government in the levelling up whitepaper and in COP26, focusing on social-led topics.
“Our frameworks are placed to support businesses with these aims, with the ability to track all-important KPIs around a scheme as required, such as social return on investment, carbon reduction and local impact. Showcasing our framework at events such as UKREiiF allows us to highlight to businesses how we can help them to reach these targets set by the government.”
This year we were also able to showcase our brand-new software, including our rail social value tool, which allows the rail industry, for the first time, to forecast and report on social values of its investment, infrastructure projects and day-to-day operations.
As well as this, we were also able to show our new impact measurement software which we launched just before UKREiiF. The software – which includes more than 800 new and updated metrics and is aligned to the HM Treasury’s Green Book – allows organisations to measure and maximise the impact their actions create by calculating the social, economic and environmental impact of any project or activity.
Working in partnership with TIES Living Lab, we’ve also developed a first-of-its-kind tool that allows organisations to compare the social value impact and outcomes of traditional construction vs MMC. This presents a significant step in supporting clients to deliver the Construction Playbook and overall government ambitions to leverage MMC in facilitating the transition to value-based decision making.
Gerard added: “This year we launched the Rail Social Value Tool which is a first for the sector, as well as impact measurement software and were able to showcase how these exciting new tools will be able to assist businesses and the industry. We are excited to reveal our plans for the pavilion for UKREiiF 2023 in due course – and of course, look forward to another hugely successful conference in Leeds when next May rolls around next year.”
Speaking of the renewed partnership, Keith Griffiths, chief executive officer at UKREiiF, said: “Pagabo Group’s brand’s dedication to helping businesses embed social value into their workplace and in practice is exactly what needs to be shared at UKREiiF. The event will be the perfect place for them to showcase this commitment to social value to investors, major developers, and Government.”
